To be clear: our first price capture was on 22 October 2026. Until several months build up, the tool computes the percentage and shows only what we recorded; it does not judge what we do not know.

Method

• Percentage = ("was" price − current price) ÷ "was" price × 100.
• History comes from the monthly log of the electronics index, with each reading's date.
• We need at least 3 records before comparing the "was" price with the highest price we have seen.

FAQ

How do I know a discount is real?

Compare the current price with what the product actually sold for in previous weeks, not with the "was" price the store writes. If the "was" price never appeared as a real selling price, the discount is inflated.

Why does the tool say history is not enough?

Our recording began on 22 October 2026. We need several months before judging with confidence. We will not show history we did not record.

Can I check a product not in the list?

Yes, type the before and after prices to get the percentage and saving, without the history check.
